Back on October 12th, some of our TSA Officers attended the Fall TSA Leadership Conference. Josh Bouwhuis (President), Nataly Obeso (Vice President), Jackie Stigile (Historian), Reece Baclayon (Treasurer), and Ethan Vanweerd (Sergeant-At-Arms) all attended the State event that took place at Timpview High School.
Our officers learned many leadership skills and more about the Technology Student Association, as well as many team bonding activities. The officers enjoyed listening to a guest speaker, participating in individual classes, and working as a group to construct a paper bridge.
Opening TSA member / recruitment meeting - Pizza and information.
Club rush was a success. President Josh Bouwhuis, Vice President Nataly Obeso, and Secretary Maria Crago answered questions and gathered names for future TSA members.
TSA Officers went to multiple classes of 9 different teachers and presented information on the TSA club to try and recruit members. They did this over the course of 2 school days (9/5-6/2019).
We had 15 participants go to the TSA competition at the DTC and compete in various categories throughout the day. We had several semi-finalists and one finalist, Maria C., who took 2nd in Promotional Design and is going to the Seattle National TSA Competition this summer. This was a fun year and we all worked hard on our entries. We say goodbye to the senior members and officers, and until next year~
Yearbook's representative was no where to be found, so we decided to take our own picture :)
Opening social took place after school and was a get-to-know-you meeting for all officers, members, and potential members. Everybody was provided with food and drinks and afterwards watched Karate Kid (1984).
